Oak Gate Post Lamp Base

This industrial, weathered oak lamp base would be sure to create an eye catching focal point in your home. Repurposed from an aged field gate post, you can't help but wonder at the decades of agricultural activity it must have witnessed.

A lovely feature is the hinge hook which would probably have been hand forged by a local blacksmith, it has simply been burnished to remove the rust and enhance the finish. There are also some staples left in situ which would have held wire in place.

It is fitted with a B22 brass bulb holder complete with safety switch and has a lamp shade ring. This oak lamp also comes with a lengthy 2.3mtr braided 3 core cable. It is earthed and has been pat tested. Fitted with a UK 3 pin plug.

The dimensions are 38cm high (60cm including the stem and bulb holder) x 17cm x 17cm. The hinge protrudes by 8cm and it weighs in excess of 8kg.
